Elevator Code Required Testing

Code Required Testing helps insure the safety of your elevator system. Let Schumacher Elevator Company trained mechanics be your choice to conduct Annual and 5 -Year Load safety tests on elevator systems.  

According to ANSI A17.1.10 and ASME A17.1.10  Five Year load tests require the brake to be able to stop and hold a car loaded to 125% of rated load and Annual safety tests require inspection of equipment and general performance of an elevator. Our mechanics are trained to perform these inspections.

Most states have adopted these nationally recognized safety codes. Federally-owned and HUD buildings are required by law to have these test performed. If you have questions to whether or not you are required to have Annual and/ or 5-year Load tests please contact your local Building and Zoning Office.
