2016 MBI Winter Conference

Casey Tierney, sales representative, reports that this year's Master Builders of Iowa Winter Conference, which took place February 22-24, was "outstanding!" He and Marv Schumacher, president, were able to visit with many contractors and made a lot of new contacts. Schumacher Elevator Company has been part of MBI for a number of years, and Casey feels it gets better every year. The conference is a beneficial tool to see some of the contractors we work with, and it supplies us with promising leads.

Tierney says, "Many times we talk with people over the phone or email, but we never get the chance to meet face–to–face. The MBI organization brings a good mixture of businesses/exhibiters to the show, which makes it very worthwhile for us to attend."

In addition to the exhibition, attendees take part in educational sessions and an awards ceremony.

The first evening was a retirement reception for Scott Norvell, who was the Executive Director of Master Builders of Iowa for over thirty years. Scott was a true champion of Iowa contractors, and during his time as director, he expanded member services and elevated the profile of MBI to new heights.
