Schumacher Elevator Company specializes in freight elevators with nonstandard sizes, capacities, finishes, and NEMA ratings. All projects are designed to provide the most economical and efficient solution available. Car enclosure panels are individually replaceable, and the car frame and platform are reinforced for extra stability. Signal equipment and lighting is recessed for protection.

Add 3” to hoistway width for seismic applications.
Overhead dimensions are based on a 6’ high gate and 8’ cab. Different cab heights or full–height passenger gates will affect this requirement.
Overhead and pit dimensions are based on a maximum speed of 200 fpm. Increasing the speed will increase these requirements.
All Schumacher Elevator Company Traction Freight Elevators meet or exceed all requirements set by the American Society of Mechanical Engineeers (ASME A17.1).
